Seibu Lions, Inc. serves as the public face of the Seibu Group, which operates across a diverse range of businesses including real estate, hospitality and leisure, and urban transportation. Through our professional baseball and entertainment business centered around the Saitama Seibu Lions, we are committed to delivering inspiring and joyful experiences to our customers, in line with the Seibu Group’s slogan, “Smiles ahead.”

Since 1979, BELLUNA DOME (formerly Seibu Dome) has been the home stadium of the Saitama Seibu Lions, hosting countless iconic moments in Japanese baseball history. Following a major renovation completed in March 2021, BELLUNA DOME has been reborn as a fan-friendly ballpark with enhanced appeal. While the COVID-19 pandemic struck immediately after the renovation, attendance has steadily recovered in the post-pandemic era, and the stadium has once again become a vibrant and energizing venue.

With the global popularity of baseball continuing to grow — driven in part by the increasing number of Japanese players in Major League Baseball — we dedicate ourselves to enhancing customer satisfaction by creating a safe and welcoming environment. We strive to deliver extraordinary, memorable moments that only Japanese professional baseball can offer.

The 2021 renovation also improved the environment and training facilities, helping to maximize player performance. In 2023, we further enhanced player development by signing a sports medicine support partnership with Teikyo University. In 2024, we launched the Lions Clinic, an orthopedic facility that provides advanced medical services not only to our players but also to the local community.

In addition to baseball, we also operate a stadium management business that utilizes BELLUNA DOME as a venue for events and concerts by renowned domestic and international artists. Even during the baseball off-season, from fall through winter, we keep the stadium lively through a variety of original events.

To remain a team beloved by fans and trusted by society, we uphold the Seibu Lions Charter — a set of five guiding principles: with the fans, with the community and society, for inspiration, in the spirit of fair play, and for the development of professional baseball. These principles define our purpose and actions.

Professional Baseball Business: Saitama Seibu Lions

Saitama Seibu Lions is a professional baseball team that has been based in Tokorozawa City, Saitama Prefecture since 1979. “Saitama,” the name of the region where the team is located, was added to the name on January 1, 2008, to promote closer links with the local community. As the Saitama Seibu Lions, the team aims to be a team that is loved by its fans and closely integrated into the community.
If one includes the team’s previous existence as the Nishitetsu Lions, it has been the Pacific League champion 23 times, and has won the Japan Championship Series 13 times; no other team in the Pacific League can match either of these achievements.

Facility Management Business: BELLUNA DOME

BELLUNA DOME is a baseball stadium situated within the beautiful natural environment of the Sayama Hills. As the home of the Seibu Lions since 1979, this is a historic stadium that has seen many famous victories and defeats. Dome construction was undertaken at the stadium from the 1997 off-season through into the 1998 off-season. This was the first construction project of its kind in the world in which a roof was built over an existing baseball stadium. In 1999, the new stadium was born, embodying a brand-new concept that overturned conventional baseball stadium design, with an innovative design that combines features from indoor and outdoor stadiums.
In March 2021, a large-scale, three-year renovation of the dome area was completed, with the aim of making effective use of the beautiful natural scenery surrounding the stadium and of its unique partial dome, utilizing the space outside the roof to create a sense of openness and make this a ballpark in which spectators can enjoy the sights of the changing seasons. The transformed, reborn stadium is a ballpark that everyone can enjoy.
